This page introduces seven videos on the concept and implementation of community management of water supply systems.
Six of them are country specific.
The seventh video is a short advocacy tool for decision makers and politicians.
These videos can be used just for entertainment. Yet, they can also be used as a real training tool. You can organise a half-day meeting or training session with them.
Information on how to make optimal use of these videos is provided on this website and in every video box.
You may be glad to hear that the IRC video collection provides a much wider range of videos, on all kinds of water and sanitation-related subjects.
The six country videos
These videos are targeted at staff working at community level, in the six countries were the project was implemented:
The partner organisations in this project, in cooperation with local film directors, have produced these videos.
They are aimed at stimulating reflection and discussion among water sector staff on community management, and are also very useful in training.
Some general information on how to use the country videos can be found on this Web site.
The seventh video
The seventh video on Community-Based Water Management is an advocacy tool intended for decision makers, politicians and bureaucrats - those who stand at the basis of policies and decisions for the water sector.
If you want to find out how to use the seventh video, you can find some guidelines on this website or refer to the leaflet included in the video box.
The IRC Video Collection
A wide range of other videos on community water management and related subjects is available from the IRC Web site.
For an easier search, the videos are organised by topic and a small description of each one is available.
Hint: Check the Participatory Methods section.
If you have questions or remarks on the videos, please contact Ton Schouten of IRC.
